1926 Born on 13 February in Gamtofte on the island of Fünen, Denmark
1944-47 Student at Odense Technical College
1947-51 Studied architecture at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen
1950-52 Employment in the office of the famous Danish architect and designer Arne Jacobsen
1953-55 Several lengthy trips through Europe
1955 Established design office in Binningen, Switzerland Since then, his various design started such as architecture, interiors, mass production furniture
1963 Move to Basel
1970 Design of “Visiona 2” exhibition in conjunction with Cologne Furniture Fair
1998 Awarded “The Knight's Cross of the Dannebrog” from the Queen of Denmark for his lifetime merit Died at the age of 72 on 5 September in Copenhagen
